Sushi,
weekly creation
This week I made Sushi!

I've always wanted to make my own Sushi and since I received a starter pack from J's grandparents for xmas I thought I'd get to work. The pack contained the nori, wasabi, soy sauce, rice vinegar mix and a bamboo mat. I went to town and churned out what seemed like 50 billion pieces of Sushi, but I don't mind I will eat them all! ALLLLLLL I tell you!
I made a tuna, mayo and minced onion mix for the centre and I think next time I'll try chicken and avocado. The tuna and mayo was an easy cheap filling incase it all turned to custard. It just so happens to be my favourite filling so I'm stoked they worked out ok. I might need to put more of the rice vinegar mix in next time for more flavour and maybe work on the rolling so their shape actually turns out more circular.
As my Dad would say... YUMMO!

nice work! don't you just want to guzzle kewpie mayo? i could eat it with everything!
yummmmmm. get. in. my. bellyyyyyyyy hehehehe
These look very professional, just like store bought sushi!
Delicious! It makes me so hungry just looking at them!
yum!!!!
Yum! My favourite kind to make is chicken, cranberry & cream cheese. Also I think its impossible to make less than a gazillion, or at least I've never been able to get em down to a more managable number
You guys are so nice! thanks! and wow chicken cranberry and cream cheese on anything would taste good!
i got a kit too, and it didnt work! the ric wasnt sticky enough, even though we followed the instructions. whats the secret??
my rice was super sticky..i used medium grain rice and didn't rinse it first to get the starchy stuff out.. maybe that helped?! You can make the stuff that goes into the rice with rice wine vinegar and sugar I think? instead of that ready made sachet of wierdness...
